With SteamTool, you can install the game on your Steam library in more than one hard drive. Game on a second hard drive will continue to play, download and update as usual, because the steam can still access them using the name of the original folder.
How to Get Started
- Create an empty folder on the drive to be have the game installed on it.
- Open SteamTool, and select the folder that you just created.
- SteamTool now ready for you to transfer games. From now on, you have to do is:
- Select a game from the list and click the 'Move to Storage' or 'Move to Steam'.
Important warning:
- SteamTool utilizes NTFS Junctions. The steam will need to be installed on an NTFS partition for SteamTool to work.
- Some programs will display incorrect results when accessing your Steam folder, if they follow the same link that uses steam to access the game on the second drive. (That is the wrong number of files in the folder)
- You should read this guide explains how to back up your Steam library. No warranty provided in case of data loss, etc. Use at your own risk.
