With CUDA and 3D Vision support, download the demo to get a taste of what Just Cause 2 has to offer. Avalanche Studios, creators of Just Cause 2, Nvidia approached with the aim of setting new standards in water simulation realism. The results of this collaboration is a new rendering technique that uses CUDA to calculate, sea-level non-recurring fully dynamic.
There is a technique for rendering water tend to be rough. The details that make the ocean appear like ripples realistic micro and fine grained specular reflection is not present. GPU accelerated simulation of water in Just Cause 2 is based on a paper by Dr. Jerry Tessendorf, an expert on fluid simulation. The technique was inspired by the real-world oceanographic observations and data gathered by studying the motion of ocean waves under different conditions. Using the technique, the sea level is described as a signal which is then processed through a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). Because CUDA FFT library includes optimized, and GPU remarkable in this type of computation, representation very detailed (down to centimeters) can be given.
Avalanche Studios has developed a Just Cause 2 from the ground up for 3D Vision and 3D Vision Surround. By providing a comprehensive, panoramic environment, 3D Vision Surround not only provides more immersive experience, it also gives gamers an added edge by providing extra peripheral vision. Enemies will normally out of sight in the single-screen setup is now visible when playing on three monitors at 5760x1080.
With spacious surroundings, addictive gameplay, enhanced water CUDA, and 3D Vision Surround, Just Cause 2 is one of the most impressive game this year.
It is a single-player demo.
