Area 51 is a science fiction first-person shooter video game that was released in 2005 and was developed by Midway Studios. Area 51 was released for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Windows platforms, and a loose remake of the 1995 light gun video game of the same name.
Area 51 was originally started with an intense battle where the player has some AI teammates with him (ranging from two to seven most of the time) against hordes of mutants. Midway through, the player will have to go through a shoot-out with smarter enemies in the form of foreign troops. Notable among the voice actors Marilyn Manson as Edgar ancient and powerful Grey, David Duchovny as Ethan Cole, Powers Boothe as Major Bridges, and Ian Abercrombie as Dr. Cray.
