Dream Aquarium Screensaver offers users the opportunity to change their computer screen into a fish tank when they are not using it. With a staggering number of options, you can control almost every aspect of the program except the one that matters.
The program has a somewhat confusing interface which requires the user to right-click on the aquarium as it goes to access the Options menu. But the action of the actual fish tank is very impressive. Up to six species of sea creatures (session tank to the limit of six) move in a realistic way and see human life, whether they are brightly colored angelfish or crabs scurrying about on the seafloor. The program selection is the culmination of the program once the menu is accessed. Users can choose between seven different aquariums, different fish, lighting, and even can feed the fish. While it seems like every opportunity is taken for the user to control the tank, the designers neglected to give them more control over when the screensaver operates. Throughout the extensive Options menu we found only one cryptic commands to set when the aquarium appear, and oddly enough, this is only when the computer is running on batteries.
While the lack of direction to control the program was annoying, it was not enough to prevent us from spectacular graphics and the option for the aquarium. Anyone interested in filling the bottom of the screen life should give this a shot Download.
