digiKam advanced digital photo management application for KDE, makes importing and organizing digital photos "snap". The photos are organized in albums which can be sorted chronologically, with the layout of folders or special collections.
digiKam utilize Kipi plugins for many additional functions. KIPI (KDE Image Plugin Interface) is an initiative to create a common plugin infrastructure for digiKam, KPhotoAlbum, and Gwenview. The aim is to enable the development of image plugins that can be shared among KDE graphical applications.
