"All-platform eMule", eMule-like client for ed2k network. Branch of the project xMule drove it to a brand new direction and quality. Using wxWidgets for multiplatform support.
features:
- AMule works on x86, amd64, ppc, ppc64, sparc, alpha, and AFAIK arm (maybe others too) CPU architecture.
- AMule works on Linux, Mac, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, Solaris, Windows, and possibly other OS that does not exist yet tested.
- AMule has the latest improvements on ed2k protocol, both on compatibility eServer (thanks Lugdunum) and client <-> client communication (thanks eMule dev team.). Including eMule extensions over original ed2k protocol.
- AMule supports all wxWidgets flavors from 2.4.2 to 2.6.0 new. Recommended version is, however, wxWidgets 2.6.0.
- AMule supports Unicode on GUI, internal, and the network, and which totally or partially translated into 28 languages
- AMule has core separation / GUI, mature daemon, and remote GUI is not so ripe-but-still-working, along with the webserver and text mode user interface (amulecmd).
- And last but not least, aMule has the best users and supporters of community I've ever seen. I say it and I'll say it again: without you, this project would never reach its current state.
